Following a previously refused application submitted by another team, The Plannery was engaged alongside RISE Design Studio to reassess and lead a new planning strategy for both ground floor and first-floor infill extensions. The property, located within a Conservation Area and highly visible from the public realm, presented a number of planning and design challenges.
Working closely with RISE, we developed a thoughtful and context-sensitive proposal, engaging proactively with the Council and presenting a robust and compelling scheme. This approach resulted in a successful outcome – full planning permission was granted for a full-width ground floor and infill first floor extension.
Our client was delighted with both the process and the result, having achieved significantly more floorspace that the original refused scheme.
