On this ambitious project, we transformed a modest home by almost doubling its size, all while navigating complex planning constraints related to heritage, tree preservation, and both daylight and sunlight impact on neighbouring properties.

Partnering with Lovell Creative, we secured this significant residential extension project within a Southfields Conservation Area. The design included a ground floor extension, extension into the L-shaped garage, first-floor extensions, and a mansard roof addition.

By thoroughly examining the site’s planning history, precedents and Council policy, we crafted a clear, strategic approach. Early engagement through the pre-application process was key, allowing our team to work collaboratively with Wandsworth Borough Council from the outset and refine the proposals in response to planning guidance and conservation considerations.

The project delivered an outstanding result, praised not only by the client but also by the local Conservation Area Advisory Group. Notably, there were no pre-commencement conditions to discharge.
