Richmond Green HOUSE, London – London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
The Plannery was engaged to secure both planning and listed building consent for a full refurbishment of a Grade II listed home in Richmond, located within a Conservation Area.
Our work balanced modernisation with the preservation of its Georgian character, including internal reconfigurations, full room refurbishments, and heritage-sensitive upgrades. These upgrades encompassed windows, heating, plumbing, electrical, insulation, air-conditioning, Starlink installation, roof improvements, and the restoration of original mouldings and cornices, all designed by Michaelis Boyd Architects.
Given the building’s listed status, we undertook a thorough pre-application process, supported by in-depth heritage research from Heritage Collective, ensuring a robust and well-justified approach.
Following these discussions, the applications were submitted and approved without any pre-commencement conditions. A clear testament to the strength of our planning approach.
The result is a sophisticated and sensitive refurbishment that carefully balances contemporary living with the historic character of a Grade II listed Georgian property, demonstrating our expertise in navigating highly complex heritage projects and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients who own listed buildings.
