Hampstead Heath, Camden Council

Working together with Fraher & Findlay, we successfully secured planning permission for contemporary ground and first floor extensions to a house overlooking Hampstead Heath within the Conservation Area. The proposal was designed to address poor connectivity between the house and its garden, while enabling the sensitive refurbishment of the property.

Brought in after a previously refused application, we developed a fresh strategy for approval. Drawing on relevant planning history and precedents, and a well-evidenced case, we were able to present a compelling case to the local authority.

The proposed extensions are contemporary yet subservient, respecting the existing house. The scheme was approved in less than 8 weeks with no pre-commencement conditions.
