Garden House, Haslemere - Waverley Borough Council (Surrey)
The Garden House project involved replacing an existing rear extension with a contemporary design, extending the garage to create a home office as well as vastly improving the energy efficiency and sustainability credentials of the dwelling.
The site was not without its challenges, being located adjacent to a listed building; being set amongst mature trees (some of which had TPOs) and with bats evident on site.
Working closely with Christiansen Architects, we led a thorough pre-application process, preparing a precedent-heavy submission which provided robust planning justification to Waverley Borough Council.
Planning permission was granted, securing contemporary extensions to the dwelling whist respecting ecological and heritage constraints.
