DENBIGH HOUSE – WESTMINSTER CITY COUNCIL
Working alongside Delve Architects, we secured planning permission for a mansard roof extension to a residential property within the Pimlico Conservation Area.
Given that a previous proposal for a mansard roof extension was dismissed at appeal, this was a particularly rewarding outcome!
The Plannery was involved from the outset, providing strategic advice at both pre-application and planning application stages. Through a detailed review of local policy and the surrounding townscape, we identified a series of strong local precedents and carefully built a robust planning case demonstrating that the proposal would preserve the character and appearance of the conservation area.
By teasing out policy support and reframing the planning strategy, we were able to address the concerns that had previously led to the appeal dismissal and secure a positive outcome.
The application attracted no objections from neighbouring residents and planning permission was granted by Westminster City Council.
