ASH COTTAge, London - Southwark Council

Working alongside Delve Architects, we were appointed to support a planning application for a new dwelling within the garden of an existing property in the Dulwich Village Conservation Area.

Brought on at a critical stage, our role was to assist with complex negotiations with the Local Planning Authority and strengthen the planning case to secure a successful outcome.

Development proposals within Dulwich Village face notable challenges due to its sensitive heritage context, established character, and strong policy protection. Having undertaken a comprehensive review of the site’s planning history, we provided clear strategic advice, recommending areas where we could rebut the Council’s comments, and a series of targeted refinements to ensure the proposal supported the Conservation Area and addressed key planning considerations.

This proposal required our expertise in navigating a complex planning environment, ultimately securing approval for a high-quality residential development in one of London’s most constrained locations..
